By adopting a stringent crop management program, we have come up as a reliable name in undertaking Ginseng Farming . We are among the reputed names in offering Premium Ginseng Farming tips and techniques for ensuring the growth of a healthy Ginseng crop. Before undertaking the Ginseng Farming project, we do proper soil test – to know that whether or the not the soil is adequate for growing Organic Ginseng.

It is hereby agreed that K Laboratories, Inc. will provide the following services for period of one year (fall to fall) to the Ginseng growers :
  • Soil testing with complete fertilizer recommendations.
  • Plant tissue analysis with complete fertilizer recommendations.
  • Production counseling (soil related only).

Fall Soil Test & Complete Fertilizer Recommendations :

Complete soil analysis for fall fertilizer recommendations to assure a healthy garden in the following year.

Spring Soil Test & Complete Fertilizer Recommendations :

Composite soil samples (please refer to sampling procedures) will be taken from each site and analyzed for :
pH, Buffer pH, Organic Matter %, ENR, Phosphorus, Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium, Sodium, Sulfur, CEC (% base saturation for Sodium, Hydrogen, Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium), Copper, Iron, Manganese, Zinc, Boron, Aluminum, and Molybdenum

Corrective dry and liquid fertilizer recommendations will be given based on each soil test.

Summer Ginseng Plant Tissue Analysis :
In the months of June, July or August, one leaf sample will be taken from each test site and analyzed for:

Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, Calcium, Magnesium, Sodium, Sulfur, Copper, Iron, Manganese, Zinc, Boron, Aluminum, and Molybdenum

Test Site for Program :
A minimum of ½ acre per sample test site, and a maximum of 2 acres per sample test site. If you have 3 acres of ginseng garden, you should take samples from 2 test sites (for example, 1-1/2 acres per sample test site). The age of the garden (1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year, and 4th year. etc.) would each be considered a separate test site.

New Gardens :
New garden soil test and recommendations are not included in the program. You need not send fall soil if you have used K Labs test and recommendations in your new garden. The fall soil test will be included in next year̢۪s seedling tests.

Fee/Payment Schedule :
$250.00 per test site or single garden (1 test site =$250.00, 2 test sites = $500, 3 test sites = $750). Additional or extra sample = $75/sample.

Ginseng Crop Monitoring Program: 50% due at the time of contract sign-up, and the remainder by May 1. There will be no refund after January 1.

Extra soil and plant samples (samples from fields not included in contract) analyzed will be billed upon receipt of laboratory report and recommendation.

Note : Please follow sample timing very carefully. Soil from 4th and 5th year gardens must be tested even if you plan to dig it out.
